It is placed in direct competition with the BMW M6 Gran Coupe and the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG.
It differs from the A7 by the usual array of RS (double tailpipes, silver mirrors, diffuser, rims, etc.). This is a retro style, cut four door luxury performance inspired by the Chevrolet Impala SS 1990s.
It is equipped with the same engine as the RS6 namely a V8 TFSI delivering 560 hp at 5700 rev / min and torque 700 Nm at 1750 r / min. The engine with a displacement of 3993 cm3 is shared with the Audi S6 and S7 in a configuration of 420 hp, 520 hp and 507 hp S8 for the Bentley Continental GT V8. The Audi RS7 goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds. Its maximum speed is limited to 250 km / h but can go up to 280 km / h with the dynamism pack and 305 km / h with the pack more dynamism as the RS6.
This engine is equipped with a cylinder cut-off system for low rate, it only works on four cylinders.
